Mick’s Custom Irish Tours came about when friends and friends-of-friends began asking Mick all about Ireland, and wanted him to help them plan their holidays and trips to the Emerald Isle.

Then word spread and more and more folks began offering to pay him.

This led to people encouraging him to create a web-based business.

And thus Mick’s Custom Irish Tours was born.

About Your Tour Guide

A 100% all Irishman, Mick’s paternal forefathers were from Derry, Northern Ireland, and his maternal ancestors from County Cork. That marriage of divergent cultures and religions was slightly scandalous and even taboo at the time…..

This unlikely union did however produce a well-rounded, well-founded, well-grounded and well-balanced son of Ireland voyager.  Mick has traveled extensively, especially throughout Europe, and of course all over Ireland. 

He has experienced airports, hotels, eating establishments, transportation, travels and travails, throughout Europe and Ireland, as well as Canada to Mexico, and throughout the U.S. and Hawaii……

Mick is also an avid researcher and writer (every Irishman thinks he is a writer, or poet – or both). He has made extensive study of Irish history, culture, geography, people and places.
