• Ulster: The province of Ulster is the north of Ireland. It includes the counties of Cavan, Donegal, and Moneghan which are part of the Republic of Ireland, and the UK province of Northern Ireland. The north points of Ulster are just 82 km / 51 mi. from Scotland.

On a clear day Scotland can be seen from top attractions such as the Giants Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Bridge and Park northeast point.

Connaught Province contains the West Region which includes Galway and Galway Bay, the Aran Islands, and County Mayo.  Connaught has the greatest number of Irish-Gaelic speakers. It has many top sites such as The Cliffs of Mohr, Croagh Patrick (Ireland’s Holy Mountain), Kylemore Abbey, and Galway Bay.

Leinster Province comprises the ancient medieval kingdoms Mide, Osraige, and Leinster. It’s the only 12 county province in Ireland holding 40% of the country’s population, with Dublin’s 1,110,627 being half of Leinster’s 2.5 million.

It includes the east Midlands and the Southeast and East regions, with the Counties of Meath, Kildare, Wicklow, Waterford, Wexfors, Kilkenny, and Dublin City.

Leinster contains a number of Top 10 attractions in Ireland. Not only Dublin, but the Wicklow Mountains and Brú na Boinne – the Newgrange Passage Tomb – as well.

Munster – Visitors often prefer this relatively mild and warm south and southwest district.   It contains the Shannon Region, and the large counties of Kerry and Cork; which include Killarney, Bantry, Kinsale, Tralee, and the Dingle Peninsula.
